So You Think You Can Dance 2009 - The Lost Blogs

7/2

WOW - I was way off on predicting who the bottom 3 were going to be !!

Bottom 3

KARLA & VITOLIO

KAYLA & KUPONO

JANINE & PHILLIP

KARLA was sent home (I thought her solo was very good. . . but I also thought she should have gone home a couple of weeks ago)

VITOLIO is the guy going home. He is soooooo much better than KUPONO. Sometimes I don't think the judges are watching the same show that I am!!!!

It's going to be very interesting to see who will be sent home next week

**** What's up with KELLEY CLARKSON ??

7/1

This weeks competition got off to a great start with JANETTE & BRANDON doing a "hot cha cha". MARY gave them 2 tickets to the Hot Tamale Train!!!

**** Before JANETTE & BRANDON danced MIA "apologized" for her remarks to BRANDON during the audition. I thought the apology was very weak and self-serving.

Then KAYLA & KUPONO did a contemporary vampire dance (choreographed by SONYA).
I LOVED it!!!! (KAYLA has the most beautiful extensions)

After those 2 great performances - RANDI & EVAN did a broadway dance. The choreography seemed way too easy and didn't compare to the 2 dances before them. I think they will be in trouble this week.

Poor CAITLIN & JASON. They had to do a dance by Brian Freidman about an alien who has to seduce the last human on earth. UGH!!! Very stupid dance. . . but they danced it well !! Because of the poor choreography (and costume) - I think these 2 will also be in trouble.

JANINE & PHILLIP were chained together for a hip hop routine. I thought the chain was a cool idea - but it really limited their movement.

MELISSA & ADE did the first classical pas de deux ever seen on So You Think You Can Dance. MELISSA is a beautiful ballerina. I hope the call-in audience can appreciate their performance !!!!

The last couple to dance was KARLA & VITOLIO. They did a quick step. I LOVED the story-line of this dance and KARLA's costume was great (she had on a black & white polka dotted dress and then she pulled the bodice down and it became an evening gown). Even though it was a good performance, I think they may be in the bottom 3.

We'll see what happens tonight.
