The death of a father, re-construction of a hip, death of a husband, dreadful "dreads" (that matched his shirt), a "terrible" case of bronchitis, brothers, sisters, and twins. . . . Do you think you are reading about "The Young and the Restless" ?. . . no - it's just another episode of auditions for So You Think You Can Dance!!!
Well, I got home from the studio and sat down to watch So You Think You Can Dance. . . and my DVR had no sound until Janette and Romulo performed. . . so maybe some of you can bring me up to speed on what I missed.
The dancers that I loved were Erik (the hip-hop tapper that danced to "Thriller"), Paris (she wore a net skirt - and 3/4 of her body were legs!!), Henry, Alex, (saw very little of them, but they did lyrical and had great extensions and feet), and Anna (but why was she wearing only one shoe??).
I really liked the twins Lauren and Lydia - I think if they can survive Las Vegas, America will love them. I also was very impressed with the creativity of the brothers Evan and Ryan. Evan did a Gene Kelly style of dance and Ryan did a "whoopee cushion" tap. I think Evan will make it through Las Vegas. . . but Ryan might be too old (and bald).
Now of course there were quite a few that shouldn't have bothered putting their dance duds on. Wislande - did she think it was a Spearmint Rhino audition. The twins, Jennifer and Jessica - too old (28) and what was with those furry leggings?? Chris - "electric"??? Dustin - hip-hop-martial arts????

It wasn't just your DVR, ours had no sound for the beginning and the middle, very frustrating!! I also liked the brothers Evan and Ryan, I don't know how they will do with all the newer styles of dance, but they were very entertaining to watch, and also very open to criticism, which is nice.
